Russia already loses the war. Russia cannot control the whole Ukraine and the fighting will keep on no matter Russia can take down Kyiv or not. Ukraine are getting support from other countries and Russia's economy just cannot support the war. For Russia, nuclear weapon is the last chance but it will destroy Russia too.

Russia doesnt want to control Ukraine
Russia just wants Ukraine to promise that Ukraine will never join NATO.
NATO shoule be ended.
