One time the waiter asked me to pay the bill while I and my friends were still eating. I was surprised but finished quick anyway.
It happened again during one Chinese New Year. I and my friends had a big table. The waiter even had some boxes and asked us we needed to pack up our food or not. I checked and we were there for only 45 minutes. The table besides me was a white family and it was there earlier than me. I turned around and asked the family did any waiter asked them to pay the bill. They said no.
Never went back there again.
