Here are two stories. Please enjoy.
1) At present there is a saying which is very popular in my hometown. The most beautiful girls have married with foreigners, second most beautiful girls have gone to Shenzhen, Shanghai to make money, and those who are left in hometown are those who are never beautiful nor talented. Then not long ago, there was an article published at www.51.ca discussing why we can find there are many Chinese women married with foreigners and why we did not see there are many Chinese men married with foreign women. One of the reasons is, according to the author, foreigners have bigger pinups which will result in happier sex life.
2) A young man was returning to his home town after serviced in army for several years. When he was near the village, he saw an old man picking up bullshit. He said, "Hi, old guy, is this XX Village?”. The old man raised his head, observed, and shouted, “**** you! To whom you called old guy?” It was found that old man was the young man’s father.

This is to answer your interest !
First of all, every country has its own social problems regardless of rich or poor. If one person mentions China's terrible social problems, he should think about similar problems in other countries. It is easy to mention a list of problems, such as gun control, gay marriage, drug, the great differences between poor and rich, crime. It is not only in China that those kind of problems exist.
Second, this is a country where every one who has the interest to come can come. Everyone who comes to this country has his or her reasons.
Third, mentioning Canada's social problems doesn't mean to hate Canada. As a immigrant, it is to early to say how much he knows this country if he lives here for only less than 20 years.
Fourth, how about you?
Same to you - Mentioning China's social problems doesn't mean to hate China. So please don't be too sensitive to the author.
Again, same to you, as a immigrant, it is to early to say how much he knows this country if he lives here for only less than 20 years. I believe your Canadian history is less than 20 years from the way you talking.
For me, I like Canada, and China is my fatherland. But I think I like the Canadian system more, I just feel comfortable in this system, even though some time it's painful. Of course, I love China, I am dreaming going back to China, because this is where I was born, where I grew up, where my parents are still there now. I've been living there for more than 30 years, got my university education there, working there for more than 10 years. But I really don't like the system there. That's not the way of the future. What I can tell you is if China were change its system today, I would pack myself and go back tomorrow, not kidding.
Tell you the truth, so deeply in love of China, I accepted an position last year going back to China to buy vehicles from Chinese state owned companies on behalf of a developped country company. I was so excited at first, because I can help selling Chinese high-tech products into developped countries. But was so disappointed shortly after. You know what? Their quality is bad, and they don't provide service. When I asked them why, they said - we are state-owned companies, we have a sophisticated management system, that's the best we can do, that's not my fault, that's that department's fault, that's our know-how, you shouldn't ask this, ...All kinds of painful excuses. They don't have any clue of international operation rules. Above all, they ask me to bribe them - a supplier asking commissions from a costumer, what a joke. And you can find, if you have the experience driving from Xi'an to Luoyang, northwest part of China is covered by dust, all the time, almost. Beijing is no better than that, only if you go to the mountain area. And the designing of the Beijing city is really a disaster. Finally, I said to myself, if I want to have a good life and live longer, better for me to give up. So I went back to Canada. Even though, I am making less here, I am happy with my life style. I feel comfortable.
A quote from you,
Everyone who comes to this country has his or her reasons.
It's good for you. Looks like you start to endorse the value of privacy and freedom. That's Canadian life style. Hope you enjoy it and keep going on.
You know what, I am still in love of China, my motherland. Actually, I am working on a project to help Canadian companies investing, purchasing, and marketing in China.

爱加拿大和爱祖国对立吗?你的说法跟英国女皇的说法才是对立的呢!对我们的女王如此不效忠,你有什么资格代表我们加拿大人指责别人呢?文革思维!有病!
You must be cracked.
When were you born? Do you really understand what's 文革思维? What you are doing is really
