Dear Mr. John MaCallum,

I am Jian Guan, teaching at Ryerson University and residence in your administrative area. I am writing to request you to support Motion 291, which was tabled in the House of Commons in March by MP Olivia Chow.

The Motion urges Japan's Prime Minister and Parliament to formally apologize and appropriately compensate the so-called "Comfort Women" of Japan. There were about two hundred thousand women from China, Korea, the Philippines and other countries were coerced into military sexual slavery by Japanese Imperial Army during the Second World War. This was one of the most heinous offenses of women's human rights in 20th century and it has been documented beyond dispute. Indignantly, however, Japanese government still refuses to formally acknowledge the crime and provide proper compensation to the surviving victims.

Being a country representing force of justice in the world stage, Canada must support the motion. Failure to do so, Canada will not only show criminals that they can get away from justice, but also Canada will lose moral ground in accusing other countries for human rights violations.

In afternoon of November 25, there will be a hearing taking place at Convocation Hall of University of Toronto. Four former "Comfort Women" from China, Korea, the Phillipines and Holland will testify in the hearing. The Hall is able to take 1700 people and the hearing is free. I encourage you to attend the hearing at your convenience.

In case you cannot attend the above-mentioned witnessing forum, there will be a formal House committee hearing on Nov. 27. I strongly appeal to you support the motion 291!

Thank you very much for your support and I am firmly convinced that your support will be much more than appreciated.

Dear Ms Ratansi,

I, like most Chinese Canadians residing in your riding (Don Valley East), urge you and your Liberal colleagues to discuss the motion in your caucus meeting and support the motion.

In last election, I voted you because I am a woman and a Liberal Party supporter. I hope I voted a right person. If you can support this motion, I would like to be one of the volunteers in your votion team during next election and lobby all Chinese in your area to support you.

Thank you very much for your support and I am firmly convinced that your support will be much more than appreciated.

IrisLiang

由于美国政府最初的默许;
由于日本政府处心积虑,不择手段的掩盖和封杀;
由于我们人性的自私,软弱,短视,我们沉溺于物质享乐的追求而拒绝去关注那些滴血的伤口;

我们以为‘因信称义’ ,只要一次接受了神,就可以在基督宝血的遮盖下心安理得地过这种自私,庸俗,浅薄的‘信仰’生活;
