I am aware of the 2 incidents of the complaints involving the 2 transactions. The first in Scarb was about the service expected of the store by the customer. The store agreed to provide the replacement parts but not on the time and date demanded by the customer. Let's be reasonable: the store doesn't just serve one customer, and it cannot always follow customer's schedule. I understand that the customer would like to have the replacement parts asap, but expecting the store to stick to this tight schedule during the crazy season of Xmas is unreasonable.
The 2nd incident is about the delivery charge. The customer wanted to exchange a set of furniture. Because the customer picked up the furniture himself, the store asked him to return the furniture to the store for exchange. The customer refused and started threatening the store with lawsuits. After an aquitance of the store owner intervened, the store agreed to pick up the furniture free of charge for the client. I do not see anything wrong or unethical of the store's policy. If you buy something at Sears or Wal Mart or Ikea, you need to bring the purchase back to the store for exchange, right? does any of these stores send a truck to your home to pick up your purchase?
Finally, it is true that $599 is for a set of 3-piece of leather sofa. It was on promotion. Regular price is over $1499.
