In the recent years, the western society is trying to devilize Chi.na Chinese take their jobs, pollute the earth, poison their kids, compete their resource. One word, China is doing everything wrong. Medias are tarnishing the image of China and Chinese.
We all remeber the 1000 Chinese spy story. The current government like the telltale. The Security Minister Stockwell Day uses the 1000 Chinese spy as excuse to get more funding for CSIS. If the government are willing to trust the lie like this, we Chinese will never have chance in high profile jobs. Because every Chinese Canadian can be Chinese spy.
We have to get our voice heard. Canadian with Chinese ascendant are Canadian. We love both China and Canada. We do not like the biased media
If you have brain, you should know how biased the western media is regarding this event! I didn't pay much attention to that before although I noticed they had this tendancy to take ugly pictures from China/Chinese. I normally didn't take it too seriously. But this time, I feel sick about their reporters ethics. What you don't like (lack of objective and neutral position of media) and they have always been attacking China for is exactly what they're doing.
Yesterday, I was taking a training course. The trainer from U.S. complained with all my Canadian colleagues about how she felt angry about Bush not agreeing with Hilary to boycott Beijing Olympic. I said that's perhaps they had different basic understanding, how could they reach agreement without that. I asked her which country she think is qualified and capable to host this Olympic game, given all the human rights records! How much they know about Tibet - all of them believe Tibet is a country and conquered by China. One of my Caucasian colleagues just smiled: "We Canada, cause we sent peacekeeping.." The trainer didn't look good. And I said "How about aboriginal?" Everybody got silent.
So you tell me these people so ignorant about Tibet having more proof than even their governments (even their governments have never acknowledged Tibet as an independent country)??? If not, how could all these people be so sure!! Maybe you're smarter than them, don't believe nobody. But actually your postings here only disclose you're so biased and rejecting to use your brain. Otherwise, you have other undercover mission?? I don't care, but be a integrity person, at least you have the brain to understand why so many other Chinese can group together and fight for their believes.
True or not, you can search news, articles, videos from both Chinese official media and foreign visitors posted in their websites. CCP didn't give enough media freedom, so you said you could not know. We agree China is not good enough, but the people with brain could judge from tons of the information here and there. Not only you 3.14., but also what these Tibetan activities are really doing!
Even my brainwashed trainer told me today, the statement I made yesterday is very strong and logical. I could see she starts to use her brain as she perhaps thought everybody like her would boycott Beijing and China (not only this game). That's why we should let them know what we're thinking. I guess most of them don't care really about what had happened in Tibet, as they didn't show much care for those people around them. But this provides them a vent for their dislikes about China, or the shocks/changes from outside, they gets excited.
Of course, if you are not Chinese, you will never understand what I mean. That's fine, but don' think everybody else is stupid.
