大对决:旧金山奥运火炬传递即时图片

据《旧金山纪事报》报导,9日大约下午1点20分,在旧金山的麦克考维湾(McCovey Cove),奥运火炬被点燃,火炬接力的第一棒是在中国人和美国警察的保护下出发,警方采取了远离人群的方式,然后进入了海滨48号码头大楼。截至发稿时间,火炬的行进基本顺利。

火炬传递路线的一百八十度转变,足以挫败了一大群示威者。

但目前尚不清楚是否运动员将会出现或者沿着原定的到英巴卡迪诺(Embarcadero)大道,再到渔人码头(Fisherman's Wharf)然后折回到加斯汀·赫曼广场(Justin Herman Plaza)并在那里举行闭幕式的路线。但示威人士猜测,当局可能选择将火炬送到船上,由船运送到轮渡大楼,而不是原定的由运动员接力送到英巴卡迪诺(Embarcadero)大道。这是一个本星期早些时候,由市政官员拟定的应急计划。

从今天一大早,在原定的火炬传递路线两旁,数千支持或反对北京奥运的民众就聚集起来,并发生了小规模的冲突和争执,示威者希望用他们的抗议行动引起国际关注中国的人权记录。

中午由旧金山市政官员表示,他们计划缩短路线,并表示,80名火炬手将两人一组手举火炬慢跑。

另据报导,直到当地时间下午2时,火炬的行进还是相当顺利,只是在火炬改道而行的初期,不知道因为什么原因,火炬的行进不时突然停顿下来,官员和警方似乎在进行某种商量,好像在行动的执行中出现了一些短暂的沟通问题。

组织方采取的严密的多层次保护措施,包括改变和缩短路线、远离民众、双层人墙、两人共举火炬等,发挥了积极作用。

大量的在美华人和华人组织纷纷赶往旧金山火炬传递现场,一睹火炬传递盛况,据估计火炬传递还没有开始,在火炬传递的沿途已经有数千华人,他们要为火炬传递助威,为北京奥运加油。

在现场的北美华人医药协会李乐平先生说“我们的组织有二三十人参与,现在还有人不断打电话,准备加入进来。

我们的目的就是充分支持和保护圣火的传递。”李乐平表示坚信中国能够办好奥运会。“我们每个人都要尽最大努力做出我们的贡献!”

当地时间早上6点30分(北京时间21点30分),大量的华人和留学生已经到达火炬接力起点麦科维湾码头,在现场的北加州清华大学校友联盟的吴华强接受了奥运官网记者的采访。采访中吴华强激动地说:“我们已经到达今天火炬接力的起点,目前这里大约有六、七百人,大家正从四面八方聚集过来。”
