热帖：在美国的办公室讲中文惹了麻烦

尽管是小单位，不同部门的人还有的互相不认识。人到齐了以后，大家自我介绍一下还是有必要的。有三个中国老乡，新来的。于是老板说：让三位新来的先说吧！ 第一个姓杭，名戈威 - I am “杭戈威”。 第二个姓司叫达文，大概也知道老乡的英语不大好，马上接话道：I am “司达文”。报完姓名也不知说啥好了。 其实这第三个英语比较流利，看到老乡受窘，马上站了起来“I'm Dying ---” 老板看到这里，心想也就这三个新人，其余的也差不多都互相认识了。不认识的也可以在喝酒水的时候在互相介绍。于是说道："Then let's start!" 原来这第三个的名字叫戴英。

在51网上应该主要用中文,说起话来,骂起人来,发牢骚也过隐. 特别是一般性的发表看法,用chinese english让人看了不舒服,又别扭,又费劲,有时甚至让人莫名其妙. 更可恶的是让人潜移默化地强化chinglish. 就象香港英语在香港人中一代代强化,下传那样恶劣. 但有时候用英语简明,严格,准确(前提是英语确实好). 比如前两天Sedona说的法律条纹: Your Honor. 俺认为在公司应该必须说大家都可以明白语言，如果2个印度人说他们语言，你在旁边也一定不会愉快，说大家明白大语言，不是什么种族而是对于别人尊重，中国人应该学习怎么尊重别人和自己 每个公司都有自己文化，不尊重别人文化人，只能在公司被孤立，一辈子都不会提升 😠

其实在中文论坛上就讲中文好了.写英文多累.

理直气壮地将外语绝对是不够尊重别人的, 除非你不会讲英语. 就象有硬度人或南朝鲜人,明明能讲英语,但当着你的面大讲他们的(鸟?🙂语言,而没有任何歉意感,你会是什么感受? 在这中情况下你就是真想讲中文,也应该小声点. 不要诈呼.

Down there, they’re all talking Chinese!” But no one raised this as an issue, as Chinese is the main stream in the group. Ha. 呵呵，从来没听说过办公室还会限制说话自由的（除了公事公办），我以前公司有个印巴女孩，每天上午、下午两次都要做朝拜呢，也没听说不许的。 现在公司的老板还没事就向我学习中文呢。
