Another thing to consider is that 10 years from now, the average age of Indians will be about 10 years younger than that of Chinese because of China's one child policy. At that time, 3 working Indians will support one retiree, while 2 working Chinese will support one of their retirees. Younger population means greater productivity, lighter burden on health care and pension, and thus a faster economic growth. This is the reason why China's economic growth beats that of the west in recent years, because the population are younger. But obviously it can only enjoy that benefit for limited time.
“Younger population means greater productivity” ----- 前提是，这个民族要有合理的 “productivity”。

以目前的人口比例，印度应该至少有中国一半的 productivity， 但眼前的事实是，印度的 productivity （经济总量GDP）只有中国的三分之一。出口市场上MADE IN INDIA的产品更是凤毛麟角！
。
还有不要忘记，在中国，PRODUCTION AGE是从年龄14 至 64。基本上只要一天还在呼吸，就得工作一天。于个人，可悲；于国家，可喜！！

你可以鄙视低端制造业，但它对提高人口总量巨大的发展中国家经济水平有不可代替的作用！！

不要跟我说印度的IT行业有多么发达，因为它给印度提供就业职位总量非常非常小！！
。
中国的IT行业并没有比印度差很多，只不过中国的IT行业风头被其极其巨大的制造业掩盖罢了！！

都在可控制的落后范围内，
中国的落后惊心动魄，
印度也有同样的问题，
印度孟买的繁荣比不上上海，
但是中国偏远乡村的惊人落后面貌却是印度所没有的，
中国社会道德沦丧，印度基本规矩保存得好，
印度人信精神多，中国人信权力和钱。
中国社会整个面貌和印度社会差距不大，
就算1-20年的差距如果一方稍有差池，另一方赶上来也就3-8年的时间。
没有本质的区别，大家谁都不要嘲笑谁。
