Location, location, location.
All the numbers are national average, so if you live in Toronto, I am sorry to say that you should discount your income status at least 20 percent since we pay more for everything, insurance, land transfer fee, car register fee, (of course) house, etc. On the other hand, more single income earners make more than $100,000.00 in Toronto.
You need at least $120,000.00 (before income tax) household income to be in the top 20 percent and live a decent and comfortable (not rich) life here.
Trust yourself, you can be in the top sooner or later.
Aticle like this does not help people. It only makes people more frustrated.
To buy a house, they talk about location, location and location.
To have a better life, we should talk about education, education and education.
