Yesterday CCTV4 was making fun of the British government trying to convince China to pardon Akmal, comparing it to the US government's effort to help win the release of the American reporters captured by the North Koreans. CCTV implies that both governments acted stupidly, openly admitted guilt and lost face in front of the world. Of course, our great Chinese government will not do any stupid things like this to help any Chinese citizens.
