市长候选人：出售水电公司来兴建地铁

Smitherman says the Toronto Transit Commission plans to vote on the matter on Thursday and that the plans had been kept secret until the past 24 hours. "There's apparently a secret report been floating around," he tells CP24. "Tomorrow there's a meeting that will no doubt be in camera. There will not be an opportunity for Torontonians and transit users to express their views." The current TTC headquarters, above Davisville station, opened in 1957. A supporter of the Transit City plan, Smitherman says he'd like to see any extra money go into service and station improvements instead. He says he would also consider road tolls, but that it would have to be a region-wide system that goes beyond just Toronto. On Tuesday, mayoral candidate Rocco Rossi said that he supports liquidating city assets to pay for continuous tunneling to expand the subway.

修地铁减少交通堵塞，减少污染，减少高速公路的维护费用，带动地铁周边的商业发展，从长期来看是经济上合算的。地铁费用高，但是效果也比其他方式好。支持！

卖水电公司和以往夏里斯卖407如出一辙，老百姓的费用上去了，对市政府来说长远利益得不偿失，正好对应了一句中国话：杀鸡取蛋。 主流媒体网站上有人评论说，应该给这个候选人买一个“加法器”，计算器太复杂了，这位候选人连加减法还没算明白。修地铁的支出庞大，比修轻轨大得多，卖了下蛋鸡，少了鸡蛋收入之后，所有拼凑起来，照样凑不齐修地铁的钱。 有地铁当让好，但是加拿大不像正处于上升期的中国，全球经济危机之后，各级政府都缺钱，除了猛加税、猛开交通罚单，我不相信多伦多市政府可以施展魔术，变出修地铁的钱来。

老马说过社会主义是资本主义的掘墓人，工会就是那把铁锹。 要废了工会的武功就要靠咱共产党。

建地铁的想法是对的, 这么大个GTA才3条地铁线, 太少了, 有纽约的一半交通状况就会改善很多. 但集资方式可以先从TTC下手,节约开支, 提高TTC员工的工作效率, 裁减多余的员工.

Why sell a money-making crown corporation and put money into a local loser? The problems with TTC are the management and union. Right now it is not the time to expand TTC, it is the time to fix TTC old problems. You cannot afford the system now and how can you afford a bigger syetem? TTC should run by professional management not someone appoint by the city with political gain.
