I have been living in Canada for 12 years. Felt a little bit being discriminated at the beginning. Now I am thinking back, I know why, because I was not confident and too sensitive. Now I don't feel being discriminated at all, because I don't see myself lower or cheaper then anybody else and I don't see any body else lower and cheaper then I either. I have friends of different colors and ethnicities. I never called indian people "acha" and black people "laohei". I see beauty in all kinds of colors and races. I believe Chinese are the most racist. Why do we always think of where we are? Who's high and who's lower in the list? If you have a list on your mind, you are discriminative yourself. Look into ourself? How do we chinese treat each other? People from different areas, different cities, big cities and small cities, bigger town and smaller towns, the countrysides, richer area and poorer area discrimimated each other and labelled each other. I feel bad and sad. We can scream at our own people "xiangbalao" but when white people or other races say something to us implicitely or just nothing, we are so alert and thinking of discrimination right away and fight for it like I did when I was new to Canada. Seriously, we need to look into ourself first, folks. (Even I have been in Canada for 12 years, my English still not perfect even far from perfect. I just want to express my opinion. Please don't pick on my grammer or wording)
I like wincity's comments. Be confident about us, don't be a bunch of 受虐狂

"他们一直是把自己定位在属于和黑人一样的受歧视和迫害的族群。": I don't think that is why 大部份犹太人是民主党票. A lot of 犹太人 are scholars, lawyers and doctors. These people (scholars, lawyers and doctors, regardless race) support democrats.
