I agree with most of them, but one: "Please don't look around when you go to other people's house" When you go a north american people's house, they usually give you a tour to the house. It's not a cecret or a shame for them to have a big house or a small house. They are very happy to show you around. At lease every Canadian house I went, they did that to for me and I went to around 10 Canadian's houses.
