Next time please read the whole thing before making your comments here. It doesn't cost tax payer a cent for this emergency! First of all, they are visitors to Canada. They have to buy medical insurance (not like immigrants) to cover this kind of emergency. Even they are not visitors, CNE already insures each people buying the ticket. So it won't cost you a cent either.
Yes, they are only doing their jobs. Do you know why the old lady feels really good even they are merely doing what they suppose to do? Because this is considered the best practice. The old lady might not think that deep when she writes up this article. But all in the end, the better system yields better result.
I am not even just talking this incident.

Canada is better! The system is better! The taxpayers pay tax and the tax is used for public services and towards EVERY canadian.

但问题是，在中国，该做的事是没人做的。
常常是急诊送到医院，不交钱，死在医院门口也没人管。
You compare apple and orange here.
The system is very different. You have to pay or somone else have to pay at certain point no matter where you are.

The problem here is whom he/she thinks it should be credited. What pissed me off is some people here don't think at all. They think it is better cuz it is Canada. The money just comes from the heaven cuz the God love ur guys so much😀. Gimme a break.
Free lunch and good stuff won't run forever.
You will see what I mean when your kids grew up.
It happened to be the bright side of the moon.
You would not be that lucky if it happened in the street and the issurance you bought did not cover the treatment you received.
Actually, the service in China is not that bad. You just did not pay for a better one.
