I would like to see more Canadian policeman came from Chinses community which should decrease the criminal rate of Chinses. Anyway, it is good to encourage your babies making a choice for their benifit, not your's. Is that possible for our old guys to become a cop in Canada ? and how to do that ? 最关键问题是要提高警察的素质!对于不作为的,不称职的应当有教育/开除的机制!

赵平波先生写的很好。警察这样，政府其他部门也一样，如中小学老师。他们置自身利益至上，并不考虑对社会的影响。看起来不违法。只是没有敬业精神。

我同意赵平波的观点. 作为维持社会治安的警察,有权利怠工.至于游行,脱下警服是可以接受的.但身穿警服去"闹事"显然不MAKE SENSE.可恶! 我来加拿大几年了,见到的.听到的罢工不少.总的感觉是:这里工会的权利太大了,他们的做法有时是无礼的,不讲道德的.举两个真实的例子:一是教师罢工,学生没人管,等教师恢复上课时,强迫学生一天赶出三天的作业;教师刚上班,后勤人员又开始罢工了,无人打扫厕所,只好锁上.害得学生只能跑到10分钟以外的MALL去大小便. 二是垃圾工罢工.专门选择夏季最热,人们户外活动的时候.想想损不损.据说垃圾工的年收入平均在五万以上.他们的工作太舒服了. 任何事情都有两面性.一部分人的民主权利无限,就意味着剥夺了另一部分人的自由.加拿大工会的权利需要受到遏制.

我认为“闹事”一词的确是感情色彩太浓，但也不象“Wu Suo Wei”所说那么严重。 赵先生的文章本身就是一个评论，不是新闻报道，所以也不必以新闻报道的方式来 要求。 关于罢工、怠工、游行等行动，赞成和反对也是见仁见智。但我感觉是，越是底层 的民众越是反对这类行动。因为，底层民众事实上没有这类权力(法律上有，但底层 民众多数受雇于小企业，根本享受不到这种待遇)，而只是饱受其害。可以看到，有 工会的一般都是跟政府相关的企业，或很大的公司。他们本身就已经在工资待遇上 比一般民众要好得多，而他们作为谈判条件的，又是以民众利益作为要挟，无法不 招致很多民众反感。 你们有权力这么做，别人也有权力讨厌你这么做。

警察职业的确不错!我有个朋友放下多大的工作不干去考警察.说又悠闲自在,又没有危机感,政府公务员.

闹事 -- What does mean in Chinses ? Who creat this word ? And why and when people use it ? It sounds like weire to find out the original meaning of 闹事. In english, we maybe can say "trouble maker". I think it is not that simple. Right, Mr. Zhao ? Did you use this word to discribe your family meber's argument ? Did you use this word to discribe your own situation regarding your rights ? Did you use or hear this word fWatch your thoughts; they become words. I am not sure what is your past, but I am sure this 闹事 should not be the case which is abused by Canadians. Could you use some more non biased words like fighting for rights instead of 闹事 ? What is 闹事 ? Why is not 讲理 ? They are 讲理 !!!! If you really have some good ideas about this event, I would like to listen. Otherwise, please read more others paper. That helps using motional words and not misleading my Chinese peers. Thanks.
