Re: Broadcasting Public Notices CRTC 2005-123 & 2005-124
Dear Diane,
I strongly support the Chinese Central TV Station to broadcast its programs in Canada. Stepping into the 21st century, many more people are media programs via many other means. According to today’s Globe and Mail: A study by the Ottawa-based Media Awareness Network found that on an average school day later year, 17 per cent of Grade 4 pupils and 40 per cent of Grade 11 students downloaded TV shows or movies. No doubt about it that high speed internet users are invading/dumping the traditional TV programs. Instead of letting people watching all kinds of programs “mostly free” via internet, the Canadian government should step forward to welcome these programs to our main streams – Canadian based TV network systems. There are over 1 millions Chinese in Canada at present. It is extremely important to catch this opportunity and let different cultural programs blossom over our beloved “multicultural” national.
I have since forward the original copy of this letter to CCTA.
Sincerely,
Your Nameyour name
