If a country has 6-7% unemployment rate is, as you said, "quite normal based on the economical theory", how about the following facts: (1) 30 years ago, the median income in Canada is around $53,000. After 30 years, with exponential economic growth, explosive emerge of the wealth of billionaires and the inflation of 30 years, however, the median income still remain under $60,000. That means the income for average working people is getting less now than 30 years ago while the 1% are becoming fabulously ultra rich. (2) the youth unemployment rate is close to 20% although we have so many young, smart, physically and mentally strong, highly educated young people. (3) the occupy movement is rapidly being resonated on a global scale. Isn't it a clear signal indicating there is something fundamentally wrong with whole globalized economic system?! The economic theory you talked about is the very theory that has been spewed out by the corporate media and in business schools. It serves the rich and brain-washes the rest of us and hurts the vast majority of the population. It's time we ditch this kind of economic theory.
