雪暴再袭GTA：强风低温停电校巴取消

周日（10）晚间，又一波雪暴袭击GTA地区，由于高达每小时80公里的强风，多伦多不少地区树枝折断，进而扯断电线，导致停电事故：其中湖滨路 （Lake Shore Blvd） 的电线因大树被强风吹倒而压断电线，居住在西区 Mimico 地区的近3,000 居民因此断电。电力局派出工人连夜抢修。此外，北约克和多伦多东北地区的 Uxbridge 镇也出现类似事故，暂未知何时恢复供电。

据CP24电视新闻报道，今晨多伦多最低温-7C，但考虑风寒效应则感觉犹如-19 C，加拿大环境部表示，近日GTA及周边地区有飘雪，而寒冷天气会持续一周；环境部向多个地区发出降雪警告，包括 Newmarket, Georgina, Uxbridge, Dufferin-Innisfil, Grey-Bruce 以及Barrie 等地区。

环境部也向下述地区发出飘雪预警 （snow squall watch），包括 Pickering, Belleville, Kingston 以及 Fenelon Falls等地区，而 Picton 以及 Sandbanks Park 地区的强风警告仍然有效。

此外，今晨2时许，多伦多西区 Sheppard Avenue 夹 Weston Road 地区发生车祸，1名司机疑因路面结冰驾车失控，撞破一座教堂的门之后冲入教堂之内，司机受伤被送往医院接受治疗，其伤况尚不清楚。

由于昨天先降雨后降雪，因此不少地区的路面结冰，当局呼吁驾车人士减慢车速，小心驾驶，确保安全。

安省北部学区校巴取消

由于气温降低，路面结冰，周一安省不少学区校巴取消，不过多数学校仍然照常上课，今天取消校巴的学区包括：

City of Kawartha Lakes: All buses cancelled

Dundalk, Flesherton, Markdale and Maxwell: All buses cancelled, schools open

Durham & Holstein: All buses cancelled, schools open

Hanover and Ayton: All buses cancelled, schools open

Kincardine: All buses are cancelled into Kincardine, schools open.

Lion’s Head and Tobermory: All buses cancelled, schools open

Nipissing: All buses cancelled

Owen Sound: All buses cancelled, schools are open

Parry Sound: All buses cancelled

Port Elgin and Southampton: All buses are cancelled, including the Saugeen First Nations buses. Schools open

Simcoe County: All buses in the North, West and Central weather zones cancelled, schools open. Buses to Our Lady of Mercy and Honey Harbour Public School are cancelled but schools remain open.

Walkerton, Mildmay, Formosa and Chepstow: All buses cancelled, schools open

Wellington-Dufferin County: All buses in centre Wellington, north Wellington and Dufferin County are cancelled, schools are open

Wiarton, Hepworth, Sauble Beach: All buses cancelled, schools open
