生日蛋糕救了全家性命：枪击现场幸存者讲述
据CTV报道，枪击事件现场餐厅里有一家人之所以能够幸运错开枪手行凶的路线，竟是因为当时在餐厅庆生用的蛋糕迟出了五分钟。
Jody Steinhauer说，当她听到枪声时，全家正在附近的一家餐馆庆祝生日。
“我们认为是放烟花鞭炮，声音太响了，”她说。
Steinhauer一家和其他顾客立即逃到餐厅后面，藏在桌子底下。
“我的男朋友然后听到有人尖叫'帮帮我'，看到一个女子前胸被枪击后，走近餐厅，抓住一个餐馆的人，他们把她带到安全的地方。”
Steinhauer说，幸好当时在餐馆里一位医生，那个可怜的被枪击的妇女可以就地接受救治。
“这名可怜的女子被枪击后不断尖叫，[起初]没有人和她在一起，没有人知道发生了什么，”她说。
Steinhauer说，她和她的家人很幸运，因为他们原本要提前五分钟离开餐厅，但当时她的生日蛋糕晚做出来耽误了一会儿。
“感谢上帝，因为我们的车停在了Logan街和Danforth街交叉口，原本要走到停车处的路线恰好是整个事件发生的这段路，”她说。
Steinhauer周一告诉CTV新闻频道，第一批作出响应的人员“做得非常好”。
“每个人都想知道的是，”她补充道。“这个开枪的人是谁，他为什么要这样做？”

"My thoughts" - you are the PM we need your ACTION not your "thoughts". Look, innocent People were brutally KILLED again in Toronto! Seriously!
"Terrible tragedy" - Nope it's terrorist attack, IMHO.
"may the injured make a full recovery" - How about the two innocent kids got killed?
"The people of Toronto are strong, resilient and brave" - Quite the opposite, now they are in 100% fear of unsafe community and some day they might get killed as well while just walking on the street! We are not that strong but we are honest and not weak.
"We will be there to support you" - Who are "we"? Who are "you"? You divide people in two groups, i.e. "We" and "You"? Probably you are planning for your next tropical trip and you forget us, sorry and we are not sorry for we are not the "you". And You will be there as you said, When? After another gunshot attack?
