Facts:
March 2018 - Liberals put a criminal code amendment into a 556 page Budget Bill. Even Liberal MPs on the finance committee reviewing the bill have serious questions about why a criminal code amendment was being reviewed by the finance committee and not the justice committee. Conservative MPs request the amendment be split out from the bill and put before the justice committee. The bill was nonetheless approved by the Liberals as-is.
June 2018 - The bill receives royal assent.
September 2018 - The bill becomes law. SNC-Lavelin instantly applies for exemption from criminal prosecution under the new law.
October 2018 - Public prosecutors deny the exemption.
January 2019 - Jody Wilson-Raybould is fired as attorney general.
February 2019 - Allegations surface in the media that the PMO pressured Jody Wilson-Raybould not to criminal prosecute the company, and then fired her when she deemed it inappropriate. Justin Trudeau claims as a cabinet member she is not allowed to speak or testify in the matter and declares that her position in cabinet should speak for itself.
24 hours later - Jody Wilson-Raybould resigns from cabinet.
Guy Saint-Pierre, former President, CEO, and chairman of the board of SNC-Lavalin, is listed as a donor on the Liberal Party and the Trudeau Foundation. SNC also illegally donated $100,000 to the Liberal party in 2016.
