美国北卡罗莱纳州一户居民于当地时间周三（4/28）失联，员警接获通报后上门调查，遭到屋内歹徒伏击，造成2名员警殉职；警方随后加派人力支援，与凶嫌对峙约13小时后才解除危机，嫌犯疑似自尽。警方周四证实，屋内2名住户也已身亡。

美联社报导，北卡罗莱纳州沃托加郡（Watauga County）警方周三上午9时许接获通报，当地小镇布恩（Boone）一户屋主和其家人周三早上都没去上班，也未接电话。数名员警前去住家调查，未料屋内有人持枪攻击，员警福克斯（Logan Fox）当场死亡，另一名员警沃德（Chris Ward ）受伤，被同袍及时拉出现场，以直升机送往医院抢救。

据报，至少15个不同单位的警察包围了该幢房屋。对峙约13小时后，将近晚间11时，警方才对当地媒体表示，嫌犯已经自杀。

沃托加郡警长哈加曼（Len Hagaman）周四上午表示，受伤员警沃德送医后仍宣告不治，屋内两名居民也疑似被该名自尽的枪手所杀；案件仍在进行调查，受害居民的姓名暂未公布。哈加曼补充说，首批到场调查的员警中，还有1人的头部也受到枪击，所幸子弹被安全帽挡住，才减少了伤亡。
