多伦多皮尔逊机场2000万元黄金盗窃案告破
皮尔区警方表示，已经逮捕了涉嫌多伦多皮尔逊国际机场2000多万元黄金盗窃案的嫌疑人。
这起盗窃案发生在2023年4月17日晚上，时隔已一年。当时一个装有黄金和其他货物的集装箱在机场被盗。
警方表示，将于周三上午公布调查结果。
多伦多皮尔逊机场经常用于将加拿大开采的黄金运往全球客户。
去年，Brinks International起诉加拿大航空公司，指控一名嫌疑人使用伪造文件进入货运设施。该公司声称，加航员工在案发时未能正确检查和验证一名“身份不明的人”提供的文件。
2023年10月6日提交的索赔声明称，员工随后将200万美钞和400公斤金条(目前价值约2110万元)交给了涉嫌盗窃的人。
在周二的新闻发布会上，警方表示，调查人员将宣布与调查有关的“细节和逮捕”行动。
