Why Volunteer for Wendy?

Many people often ask me, as a father of a young toddler and an entrepreneur with a busy schedule, why I am volunteering for Wendy Yuan. My answer is simple: belief. I believe she can bring positive change to the community. I believe that the right MLA should have the right personality, attitude, and experience. As Pratchett once said, “Wisdom comes from experience.” Wendy’s personality traits and her decades of experience in business, community involvement, and politics all contribute to the wisdom that makes her the right MLA.

Growing up in Richmond, I know that Wendy has been a strong Richmond community member for over thirty years. I have often seen her participate at community events. Wendy was always positive, and cheerful. She fills up the room with positive energy and that is the personality of the MLA that I want to present Richmond. Her never giving up attitude, perseverance, and hard work ethics are all shown in her exceptional track records in both business and politics. Not to mention she has managed all of this while raising a family! Imagine what she could achieve if her sole focus was representing the people of this community and making it better. I believe Wendy can use her negotiation and interpersonal skills, honed over years in business, to advocate for Richmond’s best interests.

I also believe that Wendy’s stance on anti-drug issues and community safety will help restore safer neighborhoods, making Richmond a place where residents feel secure again. These are the reasons why I dedicate my time each week to supporting her campaign.
