Sometimes it's hard to find the road sign in certain roads. After you take time to look for it, you will find it is hidden behind a big tree or stuff.

Perhaps, a civil engineer can answer the question. As far as I can tell, there are international standards for road signs.
Road signs in Canada are as good as those in USA and Europe.
I find the road signs are getting smaller and smaller, because of my age. Their size remains the same in the past 20 years.
If the size of the road signs remains the same in the different roads, that should be fine. But the reality does not look like this. Some of them are bigger. Some of them are smaller.
