It really depends on which bus course. On Finch street, if nobody gives a seat to someone in need, perhaps the commuters on the Finch buses are lack of education and conscience.
hey buddy, your wife is SIX months in. why did you let ur wife to go to work in the first place? Stop bitching and complaining. If you are so fed up with the rocket riders, then buy a freaking car for ur wife.
this has more to do with the cultural difference. In western country, pregnacy is nothing. people do everything right after they deliver the baby. unlike chinese, many have to stay at home for at least a month just for recovery.
thus, it's normal they treat you as normal people , not someone need extra help. I once tried to give my seat to a western woman, she kindly refused. if your wife really need to sit down, just ask friendly, don't be shame. most people would give to you.
Just a thought!
I had the same experience, even worse: it was almost 9 month of my pregnancy, I had to take bus, which was much danger than the train - I almost fell down when the bus driver had a sudden brake once. Most of the people sitting in front of me are young students (around 20) because it was bus to a university. I thought they must be too young to care for any person like me. But any way, I was scared by the thought my baby might be in danger.
But for a couple of times, some women have given me seats, and I remembered I was moved. I thought I was too sensitive that time. Maybe not.

you should ask somebody to get up and let yourself sit down, or ask driver to do so for you.
