Last January, my wife's car was scratched from one side by a 19 yrs old big white woman who was delivered pizza for her parent's pizza shop. She came out screaming and yelling at my wife when she saw her face as an Asian face. She did not know my wife's English is good enough to cope with her problem so my wife called 911. The white woman found out that and also called 911.
Two groups of police came and one group left and listened to the white woman and then came to verify with my wife's identity and then gave her a ticket. My wife though she was heard by the policewoman but when she came back with the ticket and when they white big woman asked her mother to call us to pay her fees for car repair, our insurance company also called to verify the fact. Unfortunately, my wife with very good driving record and G-license was tricked by those only one year G-2 driving license and the white woman was driving her mother's car with too fast speed while calling a customer for pizza delivery. I trust my wife's driving skill because she drives 40,000 to and from work every year with very good record.
Consequences: we won in the court by beating the ticket; but we cannot beat the 100% fault from the insurance company and this got our insurance up about 150 dollars per month.

I am experiencing very similar situation! All my life changed after this! They tried to ruin my career, my future, my family! Who cares? ...!!!
They put me in jail for no reason. I can only come out of jail on bail with strict conditions.
Now the original charge was dropped (no evidence!). But I was charged with fail to comply because of bail and convicted!
What a stupid system!
I talked to many people about whether to sue police. Everyone say: NO!
Is there justice?
Toronto police have big problems. Shame of them!
When I was attacked, I called 911 and no police came even after 3 hours until everything was over, no police came because the police were with the attackers---they were the same things!
I want to accuse them, but no one can be witness for me. In this city, the Toronto city, some police are criminals themselves!
I called on people must be careful living in this city of Toronto.
