安省选战白热化 专家:很少见人身攻击

尽管安省大选的竞选活动中,贪腐、肆意妄为、不诚实的指控,甚至可能有犯罪行为如毒草般冒出头,但专家说这次选举尚未见到特别卑劣的手法。然而随着投票日的逼近,选战的性质还是有可能改变。

约克大学政治学教授皮隆(Dennis Pilon)说:“看来没有特别之处。不过愈是接近选举日,愈有可能投出震撼弹,因为届时根本来不及回应。”

到目前为止,三大政党大都倾向于避免直接抹黑对手党的党魁,希望用含沙射影和引起联想的方式达到攻击的作用。

人身攻击是否能有效说服选民投票或不投票给某人,仍有待观察,但确实有引起选民注意的效果。

舒利希商学院(Schulich School of Business)行销教授米德尔顿说:“激烈的措辞当然会引起注意。什么样的抹黑水洗难清,就是这场选战的关键。”

目前最尖锐的矛头来自新民主党党魁贺华丝(Andrea Horwath)和保守党党魁胡达克(Tim Hudak),他们事事不忘把执政的自由党描绘成丑闻缠身、不值得信赖、每下愈况的政党。

“省政府在这次选举中做的只是清除贪腐。”贺华丝有一次说,这也是新民主党最常传达的主题,“自由党的表现就是贪腐”。

胡达克也试图把自由党,尤其是省长韦恩,和贪腐连结在一起。他有一次在选举造势时说:“我们一次又一次看到权贵资本主义的世界,政府与大企业勾结,而这就是贪腐的开始。”

韦恩则是抨击胡达克开出当选后裁减10万名公职人员的承诺是“不计后果”,同时试图营造贺华丝和新民主党违反政党原则的形象。

怀雅逊大学(Ryerson University)政治学教授培卓齐(Wayne Petrozzi)说,他认为选战到目前为止并没有太过负面。

“我们往往认为人身攻击是负面的做法,”培卓齐说:“但到目前为止,绝大部分还是对事不对人。”

西方大学政治学教授安德森(Cameron Anderson)说,联邦保守党对自由党领袖小杜鲁道或是过去对他的前任所做的攻击广告,远比安省大选的选战负面得多。

安德森说:“到目前为止都比较偏向于攻击政策,而非说候选人不好。”

把政党领导人妖魔化可能产生事与愿违的严重后果,过去联邦保守党不得体的攻击前总理克里靖(Jean Chretien)颜面轻微畸型时,就曾经吃到苦头。

这或许是贺华丝不愿意说韦恩贪腐,或是胡达克迄今未称韦恩是骗子的原因。不过培卓齐说:“我怀疑到后来品格有可能成为打这场选战的重点。”

如果正当经营可以挣钱就没人会贪污诈骗了,自由党半个世纪前就是这样。那时候的自由党意气风发,干了不少让人赞许的事情。可惜自由党那帮人从此自以为是,高高在上,顽固不化,拒绝任何革新,从此开始走下坡路。其在全球化的过程中逐渐被边缘化,在08年以来的经济危机中再招一棍。现在最好靠救济,贪污诈骗营生了。 倒是保守党的能源行业还其中开始显露头角,蒸蒸日上,看样子还可以辉煌10年。所以现在保守党正当经营,减税让利,为自己搏一个好名声,以期青史留名。

自由党描的确是丑闻缠身、不值得信赖、每下愈况的政党,但偏偏仍想继续执政,想继续丑闻缠身、不值得信赖、每下愈况,但安省人民答应么?
