The Liberals are bringing in 1.3 million new immigrants into this country in under 3 years. This is not about 'race for global talent' they are trying to keep the housing market propped up and wages depressed for their corporate overlords by giving PRs away to Subway supervisors. If you don't get into the housing market before all these people do, you are going to be SOL for ever being able to own a home in this country. That's the population of Calgary, we are not creating new cities in this country to be able to house these people. Immigration Canada does not have the resourcing to properly vet and process 1.3 million people. People think we are getting only high skilled workers but that is the furthest from the truth. There is rampant immigration fraud going, especially in the International Student Program. This puts heavy downward pressure on low end wages that low income Canadians are counting on. Not to mention upward pressure on an already unaffordable housing market. We should bring our immigration numbers into line with what Joe Biden is doing in the US. The US will be taking in 500K new immigrants this year, but they have 10x our population. Adjusted for Canada's population we should then be taking in 50K this year not 430K. It's not like the US economy is collapsing due to these numbers, like some would make you believe would happen here if we did that. BTW I would love to see the reaction of Americans if Biden got on camera and announced he was going to increase immigration numbers to bring in 10.3 million immigrants into the country in under 3 years (as adjusted to Canada's policy). Also the Liberals immigration program is like a vote kick back scheme for them to lock in future voters. They purposely turn a blind eye to the rampant immigration fraud that is going on with immigration programs like in the International Student Program. They then let the students get to backdoor their way into PR (making immigrants doing things the legit way scratch their heads as to how someone who works as a supervisor at a Subway got PR before them), and then to citizenship. These cheats will be forever grateful to the Liberals for allowing this and vote accordingly.
