hey, you forgot "s" behind your "care". you come to a chinese website, talk to people who speak chinese and you said you don't care how much a chinese can make for living, whether in canada or in china? what do you care? democracy in china? lol
I worked for a medium size company (a US lighting company China factory, about 1000 workers) in Shenzhen from 2005 to 2007, my salary after tax was RMB 54,000 per month, my title is purchasing director (about medium to high level in the factory) in that factory, and I believe this salary is very common in Shenzheng at that time.
Now I am running my own business in Canada, I earn about $300,000 per year (after tax).

Bulls**t.
Why would an American company pay someone over 130k USD (95k after tax = 130k+ equivalent before tax) for an average position in China???
The only reason why American companies move their factories to China is to save labour costs, not to increase them!
Positions like purchasing directors don't even get paid that much on average in the US!

回复 winpe:Things happen all the time whether you understand it or not, if you smart enough, you probably will understand most of them, otherwise, you may always ask why.
I think this is a question of 'apple' and 'orange'.
There's no needle sharpen at two ends. Just like there's no paradise on this earth but you can find it in your heart. Want money, absolutely not here if you are not grown up here.
Culture difference, language, etc. It's much more challengs in a place where you're not famaliar.
In Asia, you may able to make a lot of money and oppotunity. BUT.... we had to think what we use to trade for the cash... may be our time, family, esteem, etc.
I would say... if we really need to compare... first ask what we really want.
Take care and please forgive me share this in English (including my rush and wrong typing sometimes).
Best wishes.
