慰安妇议案通过：史维会举办庆功晚宴

（本网记者 谈海）加拿大众议院11月28日一致通过一项议案，要求日本就慰安妇问题作出“正式、真诚”的道歉。昨晚史维会举办欢送及庆功晚宴，200余嘉宾出席。史维会主席王裕佳发言感谢所有参与支持慰安妇议案的人。在参会嘉宾中记者发现了许多大陆人社区熟悉的面孔，专业人士协会、普通话协会的主要领导到场祝贺。

韩国、菲律宾、荷兰社区的人士一起参加了晚宴，来自中国山西的刘面焕、韩国的张锦朵、菲律宾的费丹齐亚和荷兰的艾伦四名年逾八旬的“慰安妇”幸存老人再次与大家相见，老人们显得很高兴。

发表此消息之际，本网收到士嘉堡爱静阁选区国会议员詹嘉礼就众议院一致通过的有关慰安妇动议发表的一份声明：

众议院全体一致通过一项动议，要求日本政府废弃贬低1993年曾对日本皇家军队仅为提供性服务而强征所谓「慰安妇」的年轻女人表示道歉的「河野声明」（the Kono Statement of 1993）的任何声明。对此，我想说我无比地欣慰。

加拿大国会要求日本政府驳斥任何有关从未发生过为日本皇家军队提供性奴的言论，并要求日本政府在国会（the Diet）向所有受害妇女作出正式道歉。

这再一次显示，加拿大国会将继续要求所有政府承认以往的错误行为，采取措施减轻受害者的痛苦。

Comfort Women
Statement by the Honourable Jim Karygiannis,
Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Agincourt

I want to express how pleased I was that the House of Commons unanimously adopted a Motion that called on the Government of Japan to abandon any statement which devalues the expression of regret from the Kono Statement of 1993, with respect to the acquisition, by the Imperial Armed Forces of Japan, of young women, who became known as 'comfort women', for the sole purpose of sexual servitude.

The Parliament of Canada also called on the Government of Japan to refute any claims that the sexual enslavement and trafficking of the 'comfort women' for the Japanese Imperial Forces never occurred and that the Government of Japan issue a formal apology in the Diet (Japanese Parliament) to all of the women who were the victims of this practice.

The Parliament of Canada has, once again, shown that it will continue to require all governments to acknowledge past wrongs and take steps to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
